Satria Silat: Animal Systems

The Satria Silat system is the predecessor to Silat Buka Lingkaran, (which was started by Alvin Guinanao, a top student of Benitez in Satria). In this system, there are four animal styles, each with their own unique movements and conditioning methods. These include Kucin (Cat), Harimau (Tiger), Buaya (Crocodile), and Kura Kura (Turtle). Silat Buka Lingkaran – Pukulan Free Flow Drills

In this clip Alvin Guinanao, Chief Instructor of Silat Open Circle – Presents “Pukulan & Free Flow Drills”. Recorded live in Belfast, Northern Ireland hosted by SBL Instructor Danny McCavanagh. In “Pukulan & Free Flow Drills” (clip) Alvin continuous from his last visit covering aspects from Phase 2 of SBL. This time teaching various ranges from close (range being elbows, knees and headbutt) to long range (punching and kicking). How to switch striking rhythm from hitting high then low tricking opponents reactions and in turn creating an opening. Free flow drills to take away anxiety, tension and most of all fear of being hit, this sets them up to sparring.
